Qu’est ce que l’huile de CBD ?

CBD oil is increasingly being used around the world, and its benefits are recognised by many users. This product being new on the market, you may still wonder what this famous new trend is, and what it is used for. The answers to your questions below.

What is CBD?

CBD is one of the 144 cannabinoids contained in hemp: CBD, CBC, CBN, CBG, … CBD (Cannabidiol) often confused with its cousin THC: a cannabinoid with psychotropic effects. Indeed, CBD does not modify the perception or the consciousness of the person who uses it: it does not have psychotropic effects and is therefore legal in the UK and all over Europe.

To obtain CBD, in the form of a hemp extract rich in CBD, hemp biomass is used to extract the active molecules contained in it: cannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids. Hemp extract rich in CBD therefore contains a lot of CBD, which is combined with the terpenes and flavonoids of hemp (the bases of essential oils, very known for their benefits.)

For several years now, people have been talking more and more about this specific cannabinoid, whether in the field of medicine or in the field of natural well-being. The CBD has a direct action, like all cannabinoids, on the endo-cannabinoid system, which consists of a set of receptors that are placed throughout your body. These serve to stimulate and balance your body’s homeostasis (the balance of the body’s environment) on various key factors: temperature, acidity, glycemia, etc…

This set of receptors are therefore active on the nervous and digestive systems, and help to maintain a certain balance in order to feel healthy. CBD also indirectly stimulates the production of serotonin, which is known as the happiness hormone, but also anandamide and adenosine, which has a major influence on our nervous and digestive systems.

What is CBD oil?

CBD oil is a combination of hemp extract rich in CBD with a natural vegetable oil for two reasons:

First of all, the vegetable oil will allow the CBD to be better assimilated by your body: like any fat, it allows a better diffusion in your body and therefore a better use of the extract it supports. Then, the vegetable oil will also allow you to benefit from very interesting and healthy nutritive contributions: vitamins, minerals, and of course an important quantity of fatty acids, essential to the good functioning of your organism.

This oil is today the most used product to consume CBD; because it allows to easily dose Cannabidiol, and take advantage of the assets of natural vegetable oil.

What are the benefits of CBD oil?

It allows your body to enjoy all the benefits and strengths that are contained in hemp :

Cannabinoids: acting directly on the endo-cannabinoid system, they are now recognized and used in different medicines around the world. The CBD, the second most recognized and studied cannabinoid, appear to have positive effects on several needs: inflammation, osteoarthritis, stress, anxiety, pain, etc... You can find in our blog the different studies related to these applications and uses by clicking here.

terpenes and flavonoids: these are the molecules that make up the essential oils that have been used for many years for their recognized effects on your body and skin. They are present in all plants and are responsible for their smell, taste but also for their benefits.

In addition, the plant-based oil accompanying the CBD will strengthen and increase its action by diffusing Cannabidiol in your body as best as possible.

How to dose and use the CBD oil?

In order to use and dose your Cannabidiol oil, you must first define your daily need in terms of Cannabidiol: start with a minimal dose, in the order of 5 to 10 mg of CBD per day, then slowly increase, depending on the effects you feel. It is important to use CBD in repeated doses throughout the day, if possible: morning, noon, and evening.

Remember to shake your bottle well before use. Thanks to the measuring bottle, you can easily place the desired number of drops under your tongue (to facilitate its diffusion through the mucous membranes), wait 30 to 60 seconds, then swallow.

For your information, here is the number of mg of CBD contained in each drop:

  • CBD Oil 4%: 2 mg of CBD per drop
  • CBD Oil 5%: 2.5 mg of CBD per drop
  • CBD Oil 10%: 5 mg of CBD per drop
  • CBD Oil 15%: 7.5 mg of CBD per drop
  • CBD Oil 20%: 10 mg of CBD per drop
